SEVENTH QUEEN OF SHEBA NORTH AMERICAN
                SOCCER TOURNAMENT

It is with great pride that we wish to congratulate the victorious Ottawa team who are now the three-time winner of the coveted Queen of Sheba Soccer Trophy. This years matches were kindly hosted by the Michigan Yemeni Sport Association in Dearborn, Michigan, headed by Mohammed Nasser. This annual event began in Toronto, Canada in 2005 and is held in a different city each year, with tournament participation by the best Yemeni soccer players from all over the US and Canada.

The Sport Association thanked everyone for their great support of the event and on behalf of HE Khaled Bahah, Ambassador of Yemen in Canada, presented his words of encouragement prior to the match:

It is with great pride that I extend my best wishes to you and the participating teams from the Yemeni-American and Yemeni Canadian communities. Today, the 7th Queen of Sheba Soccer Tournament is taking place in Dearborn, thanks to the generous hospitality of your organization.

Having the privilege of being part of last years memorable 6th Queen of Sheba Tournament in Ottawa, I would have preferred to be sitting with you in person once again; loudly cheering you on from the sidelines; and sharing the post tournament festivities, but it is not to be this year. I shall however, attend in spirit and look forward to hearing every detail of the post-mortem.

While victory is always sweet, the true reward of sportsmanship has little to do with triumph or defeat, but rather its strength lies in its ability to unite. Through brotherly competition, the entire Yemeni North American community is brought together - at home in a new environment, but very much unified by sentiments of national pride for their shared heritage and native land far away.

I wish you all the enduring victory of another lifelong memory.
